I’m Louise. I’m a yoga student, full time Mom, yoga instructor and blogger – hence you have made your way here!
For me, yoga is the ultimate mood adjuster. I never fail to feel better stepping off of my yoga mat than when I stepped on. Whether I have spent 90 sweaty minutes working through a sequence or 5 minutes reclining on blankets with nothing better to do than breathe.
I have been practicing yoga for more years than I haven’t and started teaching in 2002. I’m a firm believer in the transformative power of the practice and the positive benefits of yoga for self care and wellbeing.
I’m an alignment enthusiast inspired by my Anusara teaching studies with Bridget Woods Kramer and Iyengar yoga studies with Denise Thibault. I feel blessed to have studied with these two wonderful teachers whose knowledge, warmth, humility and humor have inspired my love of yoga and influenced my own yoga practice & teaching.
As an eternal student, I continue to practice, study, teach and write about yoga and wellbeing. More recently, I completed my Relax & Renew Restorative Yoga certification with Judith Hanson Lasater.
Besides writing for yogaskinny and other yoga lifestyle websites, I create yoga teacher stationery for my Etsy store yogaskinnystudio. I also enjoy crafting and working on creative projects for my crafting Etsy store, maycontainpaper.
